I love photographing on the streets, at fetes and fairs, in fact anywhere where the British people are going about their normal activities. Of course my photographs will not reflect all cultures that exist in Britain, but the ones I come across.

For future generations it's important that photographers record the way of life within their own communities. The photographs will have greater intimacy when one is embedded within the society one is recording. Merging into the background is essential in capturing people at their ease, or alternativley after introducing yourself you're accepted as part of a group.

“I am hugely impressed. It’s a brilliant book, quite unlike anything else I have seen.”
