Spanish Landscapes

When on holiday with my young family, I was always on the look out for photographic opportunities.

The Spanish landscape was ideal for black and white photography. The high contrast of the white buildings, the texture of the building materials and the harsh shadows created abstract shapes against their surroundings.

These images taken in the 1980s are a selection of the photographs I took on my lone wonderings whilst my family were sheltering from the mid-day sun.

“I am hugely impressed. It’s a brilliant book, quite unlike anything else I have seen.”
