Gay Pride - London
As a regular visitor to London I often stumble upon events. Sometimes carrying a camera does come in handy and on this day it did. It was London Gay Pride Day which I’d been aware of over a number of years but never thought of taking photographs. I was walking from Charing Cross to Trafalgar Square when I came across groups outside the bars, I started taking photographs. The atmosphere was friendly so it wasn’t a problem.
Old Compton Street was my next stop where there was a street party in progress, not just one, but many, the individual bars and restaurants had there own music and DJ. Taking photographs wasn’t look upon as a threat, in fact people posed once they saw the camera, it was just a matter of finding an interesting person or group and that wasn't difficult!
